This lab will propel our kids into a future in the growing Aerospace industry. Click the photo to see the Ceremony! Across JCSD, teachers use innovative tools like "Achieve 3000" and "ALEKS Math" to prepare our students for their future. The Sun City Shalom Club dropped by Ridgeland Elementary School with gifts for our classrooms. Thank you for the much-needed supplies! RHHS is held its annual holiday celebration where they serve a lunch for local senior citizens and retired educators. The Glee Club performed and the RHHS chapter of the National Honor Society served the community elders. Click photo to see the full gallery. "Reading Under the Stars" event was fun! Look for events like this monthly. Please join us in encouraging our kids to read! Did you know that reading aloud to young children is the single most important thing a caregiver can do to ensure academic success? Reading aloud to your children has many benefits. It models good behavior and teaches them critical listening skills. Click the photo for more pics! Our Special needs group has been participating in the "Heroes on Horseback" program in Bluffton, SC. It is a 6 week accredited program. The program helps children overcome barriers that challenge their everyday lives. Through the program, participants experience improvement in self-confidence, concentration, self awareness, self-discipline, posture, balance, strength, flexibility and hand-eye coordination. JCSD is working to ensure that our staff has the skills they need to lead our students into their future. This week, our school leadership took part in Kagan Professional development.
